I have not been disappointed with the assistance and value David has provided, and I would recommend David and his Firm for anyone needing similar assistance. Background: I came to Ruben Law Firm after searching for a divorce lawyer in Maryland. Ruben Law Firm was the third group I looked into, and after reading the reviews and watching some of David’s videos, I reached out for assistance drafting the separation agreement and completing the divorce proceedings. From my experiences: 1) Quick Responses David responds to emails within a reasonable amount of time, even on weekends. There was one occasion where he was away, on vacation, and he offered initial input to my questions and a date where he could provide a more detailed response. The fact that he responds and provides a time-frame, without leaving you waiting and wondering, was very important to me. 2) Expertise This is my first divorce. It is a process that I never thought I would be going though. Even though there is a ton of information out there, I needed David’s expertise and experience to fully understand the process, what could be expected, and the likelihood of certain results. 3) Clear Communication David has a way of explaining divorce law and interpreting it in ways anyone can understand. Additionally, he his always happy to entertain questions and clarify or provide more detail when necessary. 4) Compassionate/Thoughtful Feedback It is apparent that David cares, no only about you being successful in your case/process, but as an individual as well. There were several times where he explained the law and what it meant to my case personally, so I was able to move through this process in an appropriate manor for me, and be able to start living my new life/be comfortable with my decisions. 5) A Great Value Getting through the entire divorce process takes time. (separated – drafting a separation agreement – filing for divorce – finalizing the divorce) I could not feel comfortable going through this process without David, have found his prices reasonable, and that I have been getting my money’s worth. David has been working with me since July 2019 and has gone through five drafts of the separation agreement with me so far. David has spent countless discussions on what to include, how it could affect my ex’s decisions to sign the agreement, and what the agreement would mean for me. Additionally, David assists with each draft of the agreement, reviewing change requests I receive and offering insight, proofing edits, and making edits of his own, if necessary.
